Linda Settles is a woman with a mission.  She takes seriously the spiritual admonition to, “Comfort others with the comfort you have received.”  (2nd  Corinthian 1:4) Comfort, counseling, encouragement and support are the focus of Linda’s life and work as she reaches out to men and women survivors of childhood abuse and helps them heal.

People who know Linda often describe her as a woman of faith.  Those who know her history wonder that she survived her past to become the strong, confident, person she is today.  Linda would tell you that she’s not always confident and she doesn’t always feel the way her friends describe her.  Anyone who reads Linda’s books will know that her life is sustained by Jesus Christ, her counselor, confidant, and beloved friend.  

Linda just completed her Ph.D. program at Louisiana Baptist University.  She is presently involved in leading a community support group using the Redeeming Treasures program which she designed.  She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Society of Christian Psychology.
